ALTTRAIN indicates that the respondent had an alternative or temporary work arrangement during the reference week because respondent was in school or some type of training program. Other variables giving other reasons why respondents have alternative work arrangements include ALTBOSS, ALTEXP, ALTFAM, ALTFLEX, ALTOTHR, ALTPAY, ALTSTAT, and ALTTYPE. The variable ALTANY identifies respondents who reported to have an alternative work arrangement.
