Description
ALTBOSS indicates if a respondent reported that he/she chose to have an alternative work arrangement because he/she enjoyed being their own boss, that is, that the respondent is self-employed. Other variables giving other reasons why respondents have alternative work arrangements include ALTEXP, ALTFAM, ALTFLEX, ALTOTHR, ALTPAY, ALTSTAT, ALTTRAIN, and ALTTYPE. The variable ALTANY identifies respondents who reported to have an alternative work arrangement.
