Description
PATHFA indicates that the respondent consulted faculty and/or advisors in order to search for jobs after receiving his/her doctorate. PATHFA is part of a series of variables describing the methods by which the respondent sought his/her first career path job after receiving a doctorate. The other variables include PATHDC, PATHEP, PATHIC, PATHNP, PATHOT, PATHPJ, PATHPM, PATHPO, and PATHPR.
Universe
- SESTAT SDR 1997: Sought or held a career path job after receiving doctorate degree, but did not start prior to or during the doctorate degree
- SESTAT SDR 1999: Sought or held a career path job after receiving doctorate degree, but did not start prior to or during the doctorate degree
