SATCHAL indicates whether or not the respondent is satisfied with his/her principal job's intellectual challenge. SATCHAL is part of a series of questions that measures the respondent's satisfaction with certain aspects of his/her principal job. The other variables include SATADV, SATBEN, SATIND, SATLOC, SATRESP, SATSAL, SATSEC, and SATSOC.
