Description

FMEC reports the specific field that the respondent first intended to major in upon first entering college. The variable FMNEG aggregates the fields of study into minor groups, while FMMEG aggregates to the major level.

Comparability

This variable is only available for the SESTAT - National Survey of Recent College Graduates 1993 sample.
