Description

FMNEG reports the minor group of a field of study (such as Psychology or Biological Sciences) that the respondent first intended to major in upon first entering college. The variable FMMEG reports the field of study in fewer, more general groups, while FMEC gives the specific major.

Comparability

This variable is only available for the SESTAT - National Survey of Recent College Graduates 1993 sample.
