NOCPR provides the occupation code of the respondent's principal job. The variable NOCPRMG provides the same information at a more aggregated level.

Comparability

This variable is comparable across available years and surveys. In the original data, NOCPR was a separate variable named N2OCPR in the 2010 and 2013 samples. The survey question, categories, and universes are relatively comparable between the two samples, so the variables were combined.
