PHDPS

Description

PHDPS indicates whether or not the respondent sought out a career path position after completing his/her doctorate degree. In two later samples, PHDPAJB indicates whether or not the respondent sought or held a career path position, while in the same sample as PHDPS, PHDPATH indicates whether or not the respondent held or accepted a career path job.

Comparability

This variable is only available for the SESTAT Survey of Doctorate Recipients 1997 sample.
